即用型 CloneticsTM 大鼠背根神经节神经元是通过标准化方法制备的高质量感觉神经元的悬浮液，可立即进行培养。
每瓶背根神经节细胞在 0.25 ml 悬浮液中含有大约 200,000 个细胞。电镀后最初几天会发生细胞死亡，并观察到碎片。这很正常。培养约 4 天后，细胞将形成神经突网络，到第 7 天，碎片将最少。
在没有有丝分裂抑制剂的情况下，神经元倾向于聚集（神经节化）并从底物上脱离。神经节是形成神经中枢的一组神经细胞，尤其是位于大脑或脊髓外的神经细胞。
背根神经节，也称为脊神经节，是每个脊神经节段神经后根的神经节，包含单极初级感觉神经元的细胞体。背根神经节细胞是假单极细胞。假单极细胞有 2 个轴突，而不是一个轴突和树突。一个轴突向脊髓中央延伸；另一个轴突向皮肤或肌肉延伸。
